I have the best job EVER.

Posted under clients

Wow. Well, I intended to update this blog regularly, daily even, when I started Sugar Sugar. But I had no idea how quickly Sugar Sugar would take off and how much work was associated with such a run-away take-off! I only have a few minutes even now before the Thanksgiving madness begins…but I just wanted to quickly say that the old adage “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life” is the truest truth ever told!

Kisses, wags, the pitter-patter of paws, and friendly head-butts greet me everywhere I go. This is the life…

Pictures coming soon–here’s one of my favorite so far:

Domino, Shadow, and Star

Howl-O-Weenie

Hottie at Howl-o-weenie last year. Hating me.

(Hottie at Howl-o-weenie last year. Hating me.)

I adopted Hottie and Molly from the southeast-based DARE dachshund rescue over seven years ago. Eventually, DARE got so big, it split and DREAM (Dachshund Rescue, Education, and Mentoring) emerged from that split as the Atlanta ambassadors for dachshund rescue, while DARE focused on Florida.

Every year, DREAM hosts Howl-o-weenie, a benefit picnic/fest in the park with costume, howling, and kissing contests, dachshund races (including a wheelchair heat!,) a silent auction, and more for the 400+ weiner dogs and their families who show up. I’ll be there with half of my family, as well as our two rescued weenies, Hottie and Molly! Come visit us in our booth and see what the world would be like if dachshunds ruled it. (Hint: They already do.)
